Mission Statement

My magazine is a new and fabulous lifestyle magazine which will be provided to be a source of entertainment for young girls aged 17 to 25.

This magazine will be distributed at the beginning of each month at a price of 3.20. It will be found in newsagents and supermarkets. Also, it can be found online at www. X .co.ukç

Firstly, I would like to provide a section where readers can improve their self-esteem and feel more confident but not just by being attractive towards the opposite sex, but doing activities which will make them feel good about themselves and happy.
This magazine will also provide them with fashion tips of the season, the latest looks so they will always be updated, and also get ideas on what to buy. In addition to this there will be a section where pieces of the most worn outfits that season will be shown with their prices.

Futhermore will be articles in each monthly edition, which will be interest to the audience and the article will relate to them so they can feel identified as well.

Lastly, there will be a section where readers can be filled with information of how to follow a balanced diet and how to stay in shape (e.g. activities such as ‘zumba’, ‘yoga or sports like hockey, tennis etc.)





Target Audience Profile

My magazine is aimed at female readers aged 17 to 25. Young women who are educated, smart but who also like to look good. Women who want to succeed in life but who also want to have a good time and enjoy their youth years.

These readers are independent who work / study hard to do their best. They speak their mind and follow the latest fashion trends. They like to learn and try new things. They are also females who would like to fulfill the life bucket list, and live life to the fullest.
They are fashionable and confident in their appearance. Adding on they only wear trends that suit their personality and who wear accessories to be fierce and to stand out in the crowd. Also, they are people who love new technology and are keen to own every latest piece of technology such as 'iPhone', 'iPads. 

They also love social networks such as Facebook, Twitter and Whatsapp to be well connected and to chat with their friends.
The readers are active, who think positive and aim to always have a healthy body. They jog at least five times a week in the morning and they go to the gym mostly every day around 8 pm, to stay in shape. They love organic products and follow a balanced diet. They love fruits such as strawberries, blueberries and raspberries. Once and again they make homemade facial masks to keen skin healthy and clean.

On the other hand they go out with friends for drinks and also hit the nightclubs such as Pacha and go out to places Sol and Gran Via   Gran Via is at the centre os Madrid with all the high street shops such as Zara, Topshop, Pull and Bear and Mango etc. Where as Sol is also in the middle of Madrid and its where all the bars, restuarants and some nightclubs are located. Weekly they watch drama programmers, especially ´Gossip Girl´ and ´Desperate Housewives. The readers also watch reality shows such as ´Keeping up with the Kardashians.´

Music is a major part of their life; they listen to it throughout such long hours each day where it reaches thex point where music become a part of them. They like to be updated with all the new hits, and use ´Spotify´ as an easy source to be able to always be updated with all the new songs and albums. My magazine readers like to listen to artist such as Lana Del Rey, Adele, Beyoncé, Ed Sheeran, Macklemore and Calvin Harris. They feel inspired with their talents and get motivation from it. They enjoy attending music festivals and occasionally attending concerts.
The cinema is one of their main sources of entertainment and they enjoy romantic comedies and thrillers. Reading magazines is another sources of entertainment, they enjoy reading lifestyle magazines like Cosmo, and fashion magazines such as Vogue and Teen Vogue.

Introduction

I have been contracted to create a magazine which I have chosen  it to be an exciting new lifestyle magazine. I shall produce a front cover plus a double page spread.  While creating this magazine I will include planning and research. 

My task includes:

- Target audience profile 

- Mission statement 

- Target audince reseach ( questionnaires and focus group) 

- Analysis of results of reseach

- A brainstorm of codes and conventions of lifestyle magazines

- Analysis of existing media texts (for ideas and inspiration - 2 of each)

- A case study of existing magazine 

- Exploring a costume ideas 

- Exploring ideas for mise-en-scene (settings, props, body language, facial expressions)

- Carrying out a reconnaissance and reseach into locations.

- Deciding which ´people´will feature in your magazine and in your three texts.

- A written introduction to the person that will appear in my three pieces.

- Analysis of possible fonts to use on my three pieces and make font choices.

- Choosing appropriate actors.

- Carrying out practise shots.

- Producing mock-ups with explanatory notes. 

- Carry out a post-production questionnaire and research.


By the end of all these tasks, I am hoping to use all this information, and results of research to be able to create my new lifestyle magazine and make it successful.
